Meet ‘Elsie’ the Elephant.
 
Best known for being the largest land animal, these African animals have many fascinating characteristics, one being their long trunks. The aim of this piece was to capture the baby Elephant’s cheeky personality. The composition emphasises her beautifully long trunk and playful demeanour. Subtle purple tones have been added to the Elephant to compliment the purple inks in the background.
 
The original piece was drawn in oil pastels and Faber Castell Polychromos with Brusho inks in the background.
