About The Artist

 Caitlin is a young UK artist offering a range of handmade arts and crafts made with love...

 From an early age, she always loved anything to do with art and found it a way to express herself. She found the school environment and social interaction extremely traumatic at times, which led to many anxieties developing, including a debilitating social anxiety. A late diagnosis of ASD whilst completing her A-Levels in fine art and photography helped to piece together some answers to her struggles which she had experienced. Her Art became a way of escaping from her struggles, as she found it therapeutic and calming.

 With the support of her family, Caitlin began to explore the idea of starting up a small business using her current skills and taking on the task of researching and developing new techniques.

 This was when a range of handmade resin items was introduced, consisting of epoxy resin keyrings and hanging hearts, encasing things of beauty inside such as handpicked flowers from her garden. She then went on to experiment further with resin and to expand her range of items and designs, creating a range of Christmas decorations and earrings. 
 
 In March 2021, she created a range of tactile, crocheted scrunchies, which were strong, but felt extremely soft and comfortable, whilst being kind to the hair. The inspiration came from her own sensory issues. She self taught herself how to crochet, and her super soft and luxury velvet chunky scrunchies were born!

 From April 2022, Caitlin was finally able to develop her artwork further by reproducing her original artwork as high quality Giclee prints, melamine coasters and greeting cards. Through her love of drawing and photography, she has been able to explore some of her favourite topics, such as nature and wildlife.

Following this, Caitlin was keen to expand her interest in crochet and developed skills such as amigurumi, creating a variety of seasonal decorations, garlands, flowers and indoor wreaths. 

This has led to her 'Koalaty Friends' collection being born which was inspired by her crochet creations and her love for Koalas. The collection includes:- collectable decorations, indoor wreaths and greeting cards for any occasion.
